FIRE crews were called out after a chemical leak at the MacFarlane Smith pharmaceutical company in Gorgie.
They joined experts from the firm to soak up the substance at the Wheatfield Road plant. No-one was injured in the incident, which happened at around 2.20pm on Saturday.
Incident commander David Dourley said: “We have contained the leak and have been working with staff from MacFarlane Smith to absorb the chemical with absorbent material. The site has now been returned to normal.”
