Edinburgh riot police cordon off street in Leith during major incident

Several police cars and vans were spotted on North Junction Street, between Ferry Road and Admiralty Street.
A video seen by the Edinburgh Evening News showed a man being put into the back of a police van.

Hide AdA local resident said: “A few police cars were here earlier, then five or six vans turned up and a load of cops in riot gear got out with a battering ram and other tools.
“There’s dogs as well now and they’ve sealed off the street but no one knows what’s going on.”
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
