SCOTTISH Secretary Michael Moore dropped in at a city nursery as part of a tour of successful small businesses to hear owners’ views on what more the UK Government can do to support them.
Co-owner Roz Bruneau showed him around The Pumpkin Patch Nursery Group, a small, family-run business in Morningside, where he met children Anna Lavery, Ruthven Lamb and Oscar Warwick.
He also visited Liggy’s Cakes in William Street, an award-winning company specialising in celebration and wedding cakes. It was built up by owner Elizabeth (Liggy) Morgan over the past five years after starting off as a home and online business with grants from the Prince’s Trust Youth Business Scotland scheme.
