Hearts: Who is Finlay Pollock, Jamie Walker remains out, no trophy 'fanfare'

Robbie Neilson has made one change for Hearts’ final home game of the season against Inverness CT.

Euan Henderson has dropped to the bench and been replaced by Gary Mackay-Steven in the only alteration from the side which drew 0-0 with Greenock Morton.

Jamie Walker remains out. The forward has been doing rehab this week alongside long-term absentees Jamie Brandon and Jamie Ginnelly.

There is a place on the bench for 16-year-old Finaly Pollock.

The versatile midfielder, who can play wide or as a forward, has been involved with the Under-18s this season, playing in the recent 3-0 defeat to Hibs where he was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions.

Pollock would add real pace to the team if brought on.

If he was to make an appearance this afternoon he would become the second academy player to make their debut this season after Scott McGill who is also on the bench, alongside Euan Henderson and Andy Irving.

Pollock would also become the first ‘Finlay’ to play for the first-team in the club’s history, according to Hearts Heritage.

While opponents Inverness are looking to secure the three points to help with their play-off ambitions, a lot of attention has surrounded the trophy life for Hearts.

No SPFL representative is expected to present Steven Naismith with the trophy. instead it is understood the Championship title will be on a plinth.

The added extras, such as fireworks and confetti normally associated with trophy presentations are not expected to be present with the club having noted in their statement explaining their decision to lift the title, despite fans’ views, that there would be “no fanfare”.
