Michelin star restaurant The Kitchin has been awarded the prestigious AA Wine Award for Scotland at the AA Hospitality Awards.
The annual awards, which recognise and reward excellence in the hospitality industry, were held at The Grosvenor House and attended by many of the nation’s top chefs.
The Kitchin offers an extensive wine list of over 250 wines from across the world, all stored in the restaurants own wine cellar.
And the restaurant’s team, led by General Manager Sylvain Ranc, were also applauded for their unrivalled knowledge, understanding and appreciation of wine.
Tom Kitchin said: “When we opened 10 years ago we never imagined we’d have a wine list with the quality and range of wine we have now and I’m incredibly proud of the entire team for the journey we have been on together.
“At the beginning of last year The Kitchin underwent an extensive refurbishment which gave us the space and opportunity to create a temperature controlled wine cellar.
“Not only has it allowed us to store a wider selection of wine but it has also enhanced our guests’ experience, giving them the opportunity to choose, taste and learn more about the wine they’re drinking.”
Alistair Sandall of AA Hotel Services added: “This is a beautiful list with a fine and varied selection by the glass, showing a good spread of styles across both the Old and New World.”
