And Aizle, also based in Edinburgh, has emerged as a new entry to the guide after writers and reviewers praised the restaurant for sustainability and its use of seasonal and local ingredients.

Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles has been crowned Scotland’s top-scoring eatery, ranking at number nine in the UK-wide list.

The Good Food Guide, owned by Waitrose, celebrates the very best restaurants and eateries across Britain. Glasgow has almost doubled its number of entries this year.
