A FLOORING expert has been named as Edinburgh’s young entrepreneur of the year.
Steven Adie won the award at the regional finals of the 2011 Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
The 27-year-old founder of Divine Heat Limited was announced as regional winner at a ceremony hosted by the city council at the City Chambers, earning him a £1000 prize.
The runners-up were musicians Angus Ross and Chris Elsheikhi, founders of Bainbridge Music.
Grant Laidlaw, PSYBT regional manager, said: “It is a huge challenge whatever your age to decide to set up your own business, but we are seeing increasing numbers of young people who are willing to take this step, and we feel privileged to be able to provide them with the funding and advice required to realise their self-employment ambitions.”
