EDINBURGH College has been honoured at the Scottish Green Awards for reducing its carbon footprint.
The installation of the first phase of a solar panel roof at the college’s Granton campus helped to scoop one of the finalist places in the carbon reduction category.
The college was considered for the award as the project demonstrated effort and initiative in reducing the overall carbon footprint produced.
Principal Mandy Exley said: “This award success is a superb example of the kind of innovation that Edinburgh College will bring to benefit both the students and communities we serve in Edinburgh and the Lothians.”
Edinburgh College is one of the partners in the Green Transport Prize – an annual award worth £100,000.
