A former high court judge, who carried out an inquiry into the baby ashes scandal, has handed his report to the Scottish Government.

The findings of the independent Infant Cremation Commission, chaired by Lord Bonomy, will be published online next Tuesday.

The establishment of the commission came after it emerged that Edinburgh’s Mortonhall Crematorium, among others, had secretly buried the ashes of babies for decades without the knowledge of their families.
