BANK bosses are attempting to seize the home of convicted killer David Gilroy, it has been reported.
The family of Gilroy, who murdered ex-lover Suzanne Pilley in 2010 and is serving a life sentence, has allegedly missed mortgage payments and risks losing its home.
It is understood that Gilroy wrote to Edinburgh Sheriff Court where a repossession bid by the Bank of Scotland was heard last week. The content of the letter has not been revealed.
Mrs Gilroy’s solicitor said: “Our motion was for a re-continuation so she can make repayment proposals. We need to sort out what’s owed. She may be able to get assistance from the family.”
The case has been adjourned for a month. Records show that the Gilroys bought their home for £210,000 in 2003.
