A SAFETY warning has been made as the emergency services prepare for their busiest time of the year.
Ahead of Bonfire Night on Monday, a number of fireworks displays are taking place tonight and tomorrow.
City residents were today urged to attend only organised events in a bid to reduce demands on fire and ambulance services.
Community Safety Minister, Roseanna Cunningham, said: “For the majority of people, Bonfire Night is a time to enjoy family fun with a few sparklers or to go to a bonfire party.
“I would also encourage parents and carers to make sure that they know the where- abouts of their children this weekend and on Bonfire Night, and to attend one of the host of events which I know have been organised across Scotland.”
