SCHOOL pupils across the Capital have been urged to become “digital champions” and help people in their communities get online.
Communications giant BT has teamed up with children’s charity The Transformation Trust to launch a scheme which will see youngsters share their internet skills with those unfamiliar with the web.
Schools which take part will have the chance to win prizes, such as tickets for the Rock Assembly concert at Wembley Arena in London next year.
Liz Turner, BT Scotland’s head of corporate responsibility, said: “It would be great to see Scottish schools sign up to help get people in their community online.”
Teachers can register for the programme at www.btdigitalchampions.com or call 0207 993 3516.
