ANOTHER major Edinburgh based financial institution has warned of the risks posed by Scottish independence to business.

It has been revealed Tesco Bank, which employs 3,200 workers in Scotland, had earlier advised investors that a Yes vote on September 18 “could significantly impact the fiscal, monetary and regulatory environment within which the group operates”.

It comes ahead of the publication this week of a letter from business leaders with Scottish operations who are concerned about the economic impact of independence.

The Royal Bank of Scotland and the Lloyds Banking Group have already issued warnings over potential risks while Standard Life has indicated it would move its HQ south in the event of a Yes vote.
