Controversial plans have been submitted to create a new tattoo studio in Bread Street.
Adriano Moraes Velleda has applied to create the “Jazz Tattoo” studio within a former pub at 19 Bread Street that has been lying empty for eight years.
The proposal has attracted an objection from Georgina Sigouin, who lives above the property. She said: “Many tourists, including those staying at the Point Hotel, use this street, which is also in close proximity to the Lyceum and the Usher Hall, and I hardly think a tattoo shop gives the best impression to visitors.”
Mr Velleda said her objection was based on “misinformation and prejudice rather than facts”.
