CAPITAL-based firms are among those in the running for a top new business award.
Vittorias Family Restaurant, Zuba Hair & Beauty, A Room in Leith Bistro, the Camera Obscura and Valvona & Crolla deli have all made the shortlist for consumer reviews site Qype’s first-ever Business Awards.
Accolades up for grabs include Restaurant of the Year, Place of Interest of the Year and Beauty and Wellness Venue of the Year, with winners due to be announced on March 29 at a ceremony in London.
Victors will also have the chance to represent the UK at the Qype World Business of the Year awards, which will see one firm named the best of the 13.5 million currently listed on the site.
Qype chief marketing officer Richard Dennys said: “Qype’s millions of users offer feedback and opinions on their experiences every day and the Qype Business Awards will take this huge resource into account.
“We will be celebrating the businesses that have made the greatest positive impact on their customers in the last year, and Edinburgh businesses certainly stand a good chance of coming out on top.”
