POLICE today released CCTV images of a man they are seeking to trace in connection with a “vicious” attack in a nightclub.

A 19-year-old man suffered a serious injury following an unprovoked assault inside the Silk Nightclub in Kings Stables Road on Saturday, December 29 last year.

Officers have been following a “positive line of enquiry” into the incident, and are now trying to trace the man caught on CCTV to assist with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Richard Creanor Said: “This was a vicious unprovoked attack on an innocent member of the public trying to enjoy a night out with friends”

“The male in the CCTV footage is of interest to the enquiry and anyone who recognises him is asked to contact police immediately”

“Similarly, anyone with any other information that can assist with the investigation is also urged to come forward.”
