Police have released CCTV images of a man missing from his Edinburgh home for more than a week.

Concerns are growing for Hugh Buchanan, 48, who disappeared from his home on Glenallan Drive, The Inch, on Monday, June 30, and was last seen near Cameron Toll Shopping Centre on Monday, July 7. He is believed to frequent the Cameron Toll and Newington areas.

He is described as white, 5ft 11in to 6ft tall, medium build, waist length dark grey hair which is unkempt and tied back, long black and grey beard, green eyes, wearing dark blue zip-up hooded top, dark jogging bottoms and possibly in possession of a red and black jacket.

Inspector Murray Tait said: “Police, along with his family, are getting increasingly concerned for Hugh. He is a very private person but his disappearance is out of character. Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.”
