The centre would use the money for its appeal to modernise its building, creating a suitable base for its work with charities and community groups.
The £600,000 revamp would provide a permanent home for a range of groups, including cycle campaign Spokes and community health organisation Health All Round, as well as the church’s congregation.
The charity has been shortlisted to receive a grant in the RBS Community Force awards and is urging supporters to vote for it at www.rbs.co.uk/ communityforce, using the postcode EH11 2JG.
Voting ends on October 23, with winners due to be announced on November 3.
