OLYMPIC hero Sir Chris Hoy has denied rumours he will be swapping the velodrome for the dancefloor.
The six-time gold medal-winning cyclist set the record straight over speculation he was to line up on the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing.
He tweeted: “Some amusing stories about me being a mentor on X Factor; that’s the first I’ve heard about it! ”
He then added: “And no I’m not doing Strictly either!!”
It was previously reported that Sir Chris had been snapped up by Simon Cowell to make appearances on the X Factor next month alongside Team GB heroes Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah and Bradley Wiggins.
Strictly Come Dancing has previously featured sporting legends including hurdler Colin Jackson and Welsh boxing great Joe Calzaghe.
