Opportunities along Edinburgh’s Waterfront are to be promoted at an event taking place in Glasgow.
The Waterfront Expo 2011 Scotland is a two-day conference at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel to review the progress of the regeneration of the Clyde, as well as examining the waterfront areas of Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The Edinburgh presentation takes place on the second day of the conference, on November 3.
Councillor Tom Buchanan, the city’s economic development leader, said: “We are taking up the opportunity, with Scottish Enterprise, to promote the Waterfront for housing, business, hotel and leisure development.”
Council chief executive Sue Bruce will also attend the Urban Waterfronts Conference in Abu Dhabi next February to promote the Capital, with flight and accommodation costs being met by the event organiser.
