The Queen’s Baton Relay will begin its trip around Scotland in Edinburgh on June 14 next year.
Details of the route were unveiled at an event in Stirling.
The baton has already begun is its trip to all 70 nations and territories of the Commonwealth before the Glasgow 2014 games start at Celtic Park on July 23.
On its return to Scotland it will start its 40-day tour in the Capital before being carried through West Lothian on June 15, Midlothian on June 16 and East Lothian the following day.
Organisers have launched the campaign to recruit 4,000 baton-bearers.
They are seeking nominations before November 22.
