FIRE investigators are today treating a blaze at Craigroyston Community High School in Edinburgh’s Pennywell Road as suspicious.

Crews were called to the school just before 9pm last night and found a building well alight.

A total of 41 firefighters and four command officers were involved in tackling the fire.

And one fire engine was still at the scene this morning.

A fire and rescue service spokeswoman said several calls had been received to the fire and crews used three lines of hose and four breathing apparatus.

Investigators were resuming their work at the scene this morning.

Police said the fire was being treated as suspicious.

The full extent of the damage is not yet known.
