Police are urging shoppers who used cash machines at two East Lothian supermarkets to check their accounts for fraud after it emerged the devices had been tampered with.

Officers were alerted at 2.30pm on Thursday to a card-skimming device attached to an RBS ATM at the Asda in Spott Road, Dunbar.

Another device was found at the Tesco petrol station in Tanatallon Road, North Berwick, at around 4pm.

It is thought that the machines could have been in place for 48 hours.
