A rapist who was sentenced for ten years after battering and raping a 19-year-old student in Midlothian is earning cash as a prison gardener.

Robert Greens, also known as the Da Vinci rapist, assaulted and raped a Dutch student near Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian and was sentenced to ten behind bars in 2006.

He was released in 2012 but sent back to jail for breaking the terms of his release.

Following his return to prison, Greens now earns £15 a week preparing and growing plants at HMP Castle Huntly in Dundee.
