A “HEAD-BANGER” who created a one-man roadblock after giving a pavement the ‘Glasgow kiss’ has been ordered to get a doctor to certify he’s fit to do unpaid work.

John Bage pleaded guilty to repeatedly head-butting the footpath during a drunken incident.

He also admitted lying in the middle of busy West Main Street in Whitburn, West Lothian, and disrupting traffic.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard yesterday that there was “no focus” for regular offender Bage, 36, to be put under supervision again.

In addition the accused had informed social workers he was unwilling to be electronically tagged under a home detention curfew.

The social work background report also said he was unfit to do unpaid hours of work under a community payback order, leaving prison as the only other option.

Sentence was deferred for three weeks for a medical report and Bage, who lives in Whitburn, was released on bail.
