HIBS forward Islam Feruz gave police a false name when he was pulled over for driving offences, it has been claimed.
Feruz allegedly told officers his name was “Saeed Cabadalla” when he was stopped in his Porsche in the Gorbals, Glasgow, earlier this week.
The 20-year-old appeared from the cells at the city’s Justice of the Peace court on Wednesday after he was stopped in the early hours of the morning.
He pleaded not guilty to charges of driving without a licence or insurance, and giving false information to police.
A trial date has been set for February next year.
Feruz joined Hibs last week, after Chelsea gave the go-ahead for a loan deal.
