A MAN has admitted stalking a schoolgirl aged three years younger than him.

Richard O’Rourke, 19, pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of conduct which caused his 16-year-old victim fear or alarm.

O’Rourke, of Yule Terrace, Blackburn, admitted committing the offence between February 15 and 17 this year at an address in Uphall.

Livingston Sheriff Court was told he repeatedly sent the schoolgirl unwanted messages of a sexual nature via a social media internet website.

The prosecution accepted O’Rourke’s not guilty plea to committing the same offence against the girl’s 13-year-old sister on February 15.

Sheriff Peter Hammond called for criminal justice social work background reports and adjourned the case.

O’Rourke will be sentenced later.
