A WOMAN’S car has been seized after her son admitted driving it home drunk from the Rewind 80s music festival.
Stewart Manson, from Stuart Square in East Craigs, appeared from custody today – still wearing his Made In The 80s T-shirt – and admitted drinking and driving.
Perth Sheriff Court was told that it was the fourth time in less than a decade that Manson had been caught drunk at the wheel.
Fiscal depute Jim Eodanable said the Crown wished to seize the Citroen and the motion was granted by the sheriff.
Solicitor Billy Somerville, defending, said: “My information is that the vehicle does not belong to the accused. It belongs to his mother.”
Manson, 34, admitted driving while he was more than twice the legal limit on the A90 Perth to Dundee road earlier today.
Sentence was deferred for reports and the car was seized.
