A PORT Seton man accused of being in possession of an offensive weapon has had his trial adjourned.

Ryan Deighan, of Sycamore Avenue, is alleged to have been carrying a baseball bat when police officers stopped him at High Street,
Prestonpans.

Deighan, 21, was due to stand trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday but the case was called off due to the lack of court time.

A new trial date has been set down for March 26 next year.

It is alleged Deighan was in possession of the baseball bat at High Street, Prestonpans, on January 17 this year.
