An appeal has been launched after a police box which was due to be used as a police museum was robbed.

A tweet issued by the force said that a police box in Braid Hills had been broken into over weekend.

It was reported that memorabilia had been stolen and a call for the public to report anything suspicious was made.

Last year a plan was announced to turn the police box into a police museum.
