A 14-YEAR-OLD girl has been reported to the Children’s Panel after a woman was deliberately tripped at the top of an escalator at Waverley station.

The 45-year-old victim fell and was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where she was treated overnight for cuts to her head and face following the incident at about 10.30pm last Friday.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “British Transport Police can confirm that a 14-year-old girl has been identified and is now subject of a report to the Reporter to the Children’s Panel after a 45-year-old woman was allegedly tripped at Edinburgh Waverley station.

“Members of the public and media are thanked for their assistance in this matter.”
