The incident happened between 4.14pm and 4.45pm on Tuesday at Hercus Loan, Musselburgh, when a 56 year old man was approached by three men who proceeded to assault him.

The three men then made off in the direction of Carlyle Place with his groceries.

The second suspect is white and 5ft 4in tall, and the third suspect is white, 6ft 5in tall, muscular build, late teens, with a fresh youthful face.

The victim received minor injuries and officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.
