A man and a woman have been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after police in north Edinburgh recovered Class B drugs.

A quantity of amphetamine with a street value of around £3,500 and cannabis estimated to be worth £1,395 were recovered by officers at an address on Telford Road.

A 28-year-old man and 22-year-old woman have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and will appear at court on a later date.

Inspector David Happs said: “Crucial intelligence and proactive policing has resulted in the removal of a significant quantity of drugs from the streets of Edinburgh.

“We will continue to use all the resources at our disposal to remove drugs from our communities.”
