Two people are due in court today after being have arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after raids in Edinburgh.
Yesterday police carried out an intelligence-led search of a property in Hawkhill Close in Lochend following information relating to drug dealing.
As a result a 27-year-old woman was charged and is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
In addition, officers carried out an unrelated search at an address in Redbraes Place in Pilrig and recovered a quantity of diamorphine worth around £1,600.
A 37-year-old man was detained within the property and is also due in court today.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Houston said: “Police Scotland is committed to tackling serious organised crime and associated offences, including drug possession and distribution.
“Whenever we receive information from our communities relating to crimes of this nature we will investigate thoroughly and respond accordingly.”
