A WOMAN has been arrested and charged after a reveller was glassed at a Michael Jackson-themed event.

A 29-year-old female victim was left with facial injuries after being attacked at the Corn Exchange on Friday, October 30.

Police said a 25-year-old woman was expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A woman has been arrested and charged following a serious assault at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Friday, October 30.

“The 25-year-old is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.

“Police would like to thank the public for their assistance during this investigation.”
