A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital after reportedly being hit by a bus on Princes Street.

The accident is reported to have happened at around 7.30pm on Saturday outside Jenners.

The 35-year-old male cyclist was taken to hospital although the extent of his injuries are not known.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service told STV news: “We received a call at around 7.30pm reporting that a male cyclist had been struck by a bus outside Jenners on Princess St.

“A paramedic attended the scene before an ambulance arrived and took the 35-year-old male owner of the push bike to hospital.”
