A TEAM of eight cyclists is to pedal 47 miles from Glasgow to the Capital tomorrow in aid of a specialist children’s home.
The riders, taking part in the Pedal for Scotland event, are all staff or relatives of patients at NHS Lothian’s Sunndach Children’s Respite and Residential Home in Livingston.
The centre provides therapy and care to children with complex disabilities in a relaxing and positive environment. Demi Falconer, 16, of West Calder High School, is a fundraiser for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, which supports the centre.
Sister Rylie, five, has a rare condition and stays at the centre nine nights a month. Demi said: “I wanted to do something special to say thanks for all of the care my sister has been given.”
