Cyclists gear up to support climate change deal

CYCLISTS will take to the streets of the Capital to show their support for reaching a climate change deal at the upcoming Copenhagen summit.

The world's leaders are set to meet next month in an attempt to thrash out a global deal on reducing carbon emissions.

Members of Spokes, the Edinburgh-based cycle group, will ride from the Usher Hall at 10am on 6 December, at the same time as cyclists around the world, for the Ride Planet Earth event, aimed at demonstrating people's willingness to do something about global warming.
