POLICE are investigating the death of a man whose body was recovered from Leith Docks earlier this morning.

Officers said the body was recovered from Prince of Wales docks at around 8.20am and that inquiries into the death were ongoing.

A spokeswoman said: “Police and other emergency services in Edinburgh responded to the Prince of Wales docks in Leith at around 8.20am on Monday March 3 after the body of a male was discovered in the water.

“The body has been recovered and enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this death are ongoing.”
