A man has been left with a serious facial injury after being repeatedly punched in a road rage attack.

The 20-year-old man was driving his small, silver car on Tippethill Road, Armadale, West Lothian, at around 7.30pm on Wednesday when a larger, black car stopped directly in front of him.

The driver got out of his car and assaulted his victim by punching him several times to the face, before driving off towards Armadale.

Police are nopw investigating and Detective Constable Dougie Gilmour of Livingston CID said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed this incident. As a result of the attack, the man sustained a serious facial injury and has been left badly shaken by the incident.

“This has been a terrible experience for him and we are appealing to members of the public for any information they may have as to who might have been responsible.”
