A DRUG dealer has denied raping one of his regular customers at knifepoint.
A 26-year-old marketing executive has told the High Court in Edinburgh a man she knew as “Buba” attacked her when she went to his flat for cannabis.
She said she was pushed into a bedroom and thought she passed out when he lay across her chest with his hands round her neck preventing her from breathing properly. The woman said “Buba” threatened to kill her with a bread knife. She said she let him have sex with her to save her life.
Gambian-born Joachim Cardos, 32, has pleaded not guilty to raping the woman at his flat in Dalry Road on October 22 last year, claiming she was a willing partner.
He admits he was concerned in the supply of cannabis.
The trial continues.
