EDINBURGH Airport had apologised to Dragon’s Den star Duncan Bannatyne after he ranted about delays on Twitter.
The furious Scottish businessman told his 740,000 followers that the airport had a “pretty bad system”.
He wrote: “Pretty bad @EDI_Airport. Took 40 mins from leaving Aircraft to exit Airport with hand luggage only. You must improve.”
The 66-year-old had been holidaying in Portugal with his family and girlfriend Nigora Whitehorn before travelling to Edinburgh where he owns several health clubs and spas. The airport has faced a barrage of complaints about waiting times at its troubled new £25 million security hall. Its chief operating officer, David Wilson, stepped down from his role in charge earlier this month, following months of complaints.
The airport replied to Bannatyne: “Hi Duncan. Sorry for your delay today. We will follow this up with the relevant teams.”
