EDINBURGH Airport has launched its biggest ever marketing campaign outside the Capital in a bid to lure passengers from the West of Scotland in the run-up to the Ryder Cup.
Posters will be put up in key areas of Glasgow, including the west end and the south side, and there will also be a mobile advertising van driven around the city centre.
The campaign will highlight destinations like Chicago, Doha, Istanbul, Milan, Stockholm and Frankfurt, that can be reached from Edinburgh but not from Glasgow Airport. It will be run alongside Citylink Air, which launched direct coach services between Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station and Edinburgh Airport in July of last year.
The latest drive follows on from adverts carried in programmes during the Commonwealth Games.
Gordon Robertson, director of communications at Edinburgh Airport, said: “This is to showcase some key routes which aren’t available from any other airport in Scotland.”
