Edinburgh is the second-most expensive place per square metre for property outside the south of England, a report has revealed.
Homes in the Capital are pricier by area of floorspace than in any other town or city in the rest of the UK apart from Altrincham in Greater Manchester.
Edinburgh properties had an average price of £2214 per sq metre, behind Altrincham at £2227. Aberdeen also makes the top ten, coming in fifth with an average price of £2125 per sq metre. Kilmarnock was bottom at £986.
