SHE’S the charity stalwart renowned for her tireless fundraising in the face of overwhelming odds.

Now Lynne McNicoll, boss of city charity It’s Good 2 Give, has been handed an OBE from Prince Charles in recognition of her selfless campaigning.

Ms McNicoll was diagnosed with breast cancer in January, just five years after she launched It’s Good 2 Give to help young cancer patients and their families.

Picking up her award at Buckingham Palace yesterday, she admitted the experience had been a little bit daunting.

She said: “I think it’s been ten of the most amazing years of my life, and also the hardest in lots of ways. Although I would do it for no recognition, to get it is really quite nice.”
