TWO students from Queen Margaret University are taking part in “life-changing” scholarship programmes which provide them with the opportunity to work abroad alongside influential business leaders.
The students, who successfully secured internships with the 2012 Saltire Scholarship programme, are benefiting from work experience opportunities in the United States and Dubai.
Rebecca Irving, a psychology and sociology student from Pilrig, and events management student Shereen Fazeli, who lives in Barnton, are the first students from the university to gain Saltire Scholarships.
Rebecca, 22, is currently undertaking a development-focused internship with Gallus BioPharmaceuticals in St Louis, in the US, while Shereen, also 22, has been given the opportunity to specialise in events management with Grand Hyatt in Dubai.
In her recent blog, Rebecca said: “This trip is a psychologist’s and sociologist’s dream.”
