A NEW Saturday music school is launching in a bid to transform classical music tuition.
Edinburgh Napier University’s Junior Napier Music – which will run on Saturday mornings – will launch this September at the Merchiston campus in Colinton Road aimed at pupils aged 12-18.
Led by university staff, professional musicians, graduates and current students, Junior Napier Music is set to help talented young musicians realise their full potential.
Held in the university’s spectacular new music facilities, the school promises to provide top-class teaching in modern, purpose-built surroundings.
Music lecturer Kenneth Dempster, who will direct the new school, said: “We want to enable young performers and composers to make the most of their involvement in classical music and to develop skills.”
