THE brightest stars of the classroom are being sought for next year’s Scottish Education Awards.
Local people are being encouraged to nominate those teachers, headteachers and school communities that stand out above the rest.
Minister for learning and skills, Alasdair Allan, said: “The Scottish Education Awards are a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the hard work, innovation and excellence of standards of schools, teachers, headteachers and school communities across the country.”
The awards are open to all publicly funded schools. There are also categories to recognise the dedication of teachers, headteachers and support staff.
