THE Edinburgh International Conference Centre is set to host the Edinburgh International Festival for the first time.

The EICC has been a venue for Fringe shows for more than a decade but not for the EIF and will be home to two of its four headline shows in the Lennox Suite throughout August.

Fergus Linehan, Festivals Director and CEO of the Edinburgh International Festival, and Kath Mainland, CEO of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society will also give a talk on Monday August 3 about what goes on behind the scenes to keep the Edinburgh on top of the world stage, as part of the EICC’s monthly lecture series called InnovationNation.

EICC’s Chief Executive Marshall Dallas said: “Edinburgh’s Festivals are part of the very fabric of the city and we are immensely pleased to be hosting a diverse mix of shows from both the Fringe and the International Festivals in August.”
