LOCAL amateurs Edinburgh Music Theatre present Fiddler on the Roof at The King’s this week.
A long time favourite of audiences and performers alike, the musical tells the story of Jewish milkman Tevye and his family living in early 20th Century Russia. Overflowing with humour and passion it is one of the most-loved musicals of all time featuring well known numbers such as If I Were a Rich Man, Sunrise Sunset, Matchmaker Matchmaker and many more.
With music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and book by Joseph Stein, the musical is based on Tevye and his Daughters and other tales by Sholem Aleichem.
